    I met his mum at work. Before knowing the link, I asked what she was up to this weekend. She very casually said she’d be watching her son play football. ‘How lovely’, I replied. ‘Where does he play?’ ‘The Emirates’. She was a brilliant, very modest woman. A social worker.
