I built a simple website to see exactly how much each MLB backstop has changed over the last 10 years. Can you count the additional ads? All 30 comparisons below ⬇️

I’ve seen so much about F1’s ‘Netflix Effect,’ but I couldn’t believe a single docuseries (however great it is) could solely account for the sport’s US explosion. So I poked around. What I found were The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Sports…

Is anyone doing sports marketing like State Farm?

Draymond Green to start his postgame presser last night: "I probably don’t got much for y’all today, I’m about to go home and do my podcast." At 11:32 pm, he recorded a monologue on the series for @TheVolumeSports. Feels like the future of athletes leveraging their voices.

Thinking about WNBA legend Tina Charles, who has donated entire years of her salary to buy defibrillators for schools and rec centers around the world. Sudden cardiac arrest victims' survival rate jumps from 10% to 90% when an AED is used within one minute.

And his mom passed last year. What a story. This is why sports matter.

    1. F1 Embraced Social Before, teams couldn’t share any footage from official sessions (sound familiar?). That changed on Day 1 under Liberty. In one year, F1’s social channnels grew 55%. That set the stage for the openness necessary for Drive to Survive.

The crazy thing is that Damar Hamlin set up this fundraiser while he was still in college. At that point plenty of other kids were solely focused on making their NFL dreams come true (and reasonably so). Hamlin was already thinking about giving back. 🙏🙏🙏

ESPN is updating its NBA presentation, including new music and graphics. Here's the scorebug. Sounds like two priorities: -Better job matching jersey colors so viewers can tell which team is which -Shrinking the scorebar overall to leave more room around it.

    2. F1 Turned Races Into Events Liberty made its 20 race weekends into “20 Super Bowls." Young fans want more than just a race, they want festivals. And parties don’t detract from the action. BTW, having only 20 events on the calendar really helps too. Barries to entry are real.

    3. F1 Made Telecasts More Welcoming Sean Bratches called for a total revitalization of the production: "We are trying to make it simpler to help convey what is happening." That included lowering cameras to play up the cars’ speed, and TV-friendly schedule changes.
