    Kane Williamson's @BLACKCAPS suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune at Lord's without complaint. No histrionics, no hassling the umpires, no kicking the stumps, even when it looked as if the cricketing gods were against them.Their sportsmanship did New Zealand proud

    Barcelona players agree a 70 per cent pay cut, Juventus go 4 months without any money at all. @spurs cut all non-football staff wages by 20 per cent. So an employee earning £30,000-a-year takes a hit while a player earning three times as much a WEEK takes none. Shameful.

    In the last few months Argentina have beaten the Lions, the All Blacks, the Wallabies, Wales by a record score and now they've made the come-back of the rugby year. Losing 0-21 with almost an hour gone, they hit Scotland with 5 tries in 21 minutes. Let's hear it for Los Pumas.

    Zander Fagerson, Owen Farrell, George Moala: sent off for dangerous tackles. Fagerson gets a 3-match ban reduced to 2, Farrell gets off scot-free, Moala, Tonga's ex-@AllBlacks centre, never sent off before in 14 seasons, gets TEN weeks. This really is beyond a joke.

    I write this with the heaviest of hearts. The great JJ Williams passed away this morning. His most famous feat - 4 tries in the same 4-match Lions' Test series - ensures he will be talked about as long as rugby is played. Sending deepest sympathy to Jane, Kathryn, James, Rhys

    England prop Kyle Sinckler banned for swearing at referee Karl Dickson during a @BristolBears match. Two-week suspension means he will miss Six Nations' opener v Scotland. A costly lesson but, more importantly, a stand for good old-fashioned principles. 👏

    If there are 10,000 empty seats at the world's finest city-centre stadium tonight, then serve the WRU right. Why, in jacking admission up to an all-time high of £115, didn't they take the Friday night kick-off into account and lower the price before tickets went on sale? 1/1

    A simply staggering verdict. Owen Farrell clear to play as if nothing untoward happened. What does that say about a sport which arrives at one verdict one week and does the complete opposite three days later. Absurd.
