These smart ass sarcastic answers are how people reply in free countries. It is only in authoritarian states where people answer with wooden rehearsed replies about maintaining the continuity of our most glorious nation.
🇺🇸 US soldiers were asked why they joined the army — there answers had nothing to do with duty, service or honor… No wonder Russia is winning this war.

This is part of a tongue-in-cheek TikTok video from Aug 2022 reposted by santi.kharel in July 2023. The video is not related to the war in Ukraine. US soldiers are not deployed to fight in Ukraine. Correlating this video with the current Ukrainian situation is misleading. tiktok.com/@espi_guevara/…

A U.S. Special Operations official monitoring the conflict in Ukraine told Connecting Vets that he had seen estimates of 280 Russian armored vehicles taken out by the Javelin as of this writing, out of 300 total missiles fired.

Panic spread through the special operations community at Fort Bragg as members of 3rd Special Forces Group and Delta Force were investigated for alleged involvement in drug and human trafficking, @JackMurphyRGR reports audacy.com/connectingvets…

WH is very quiet about this one, when normally they use and abuse the military for all the glory they can wring out of it.

There is this weird facet of American psychology that we don't see airstrikes or special ops raids as being "war."
Biden says in his oval office address, "I'm the first president this century to report to the American people that the United States is not at war anywhere in the world." (The Pentagon announced airstrikes in Yemen earlier today.)

Seeing people complaining about how much we're giving to Ukraine and I'm just sitting here wondering why we haven't given them F-16s and Abrams main battle tanks yet.

I spent months working on this deep dive about the CIA working with a NATO intelligence ally to conduct sabotage strikes inside Russia. Merry Christmas. jackmurphywrites.com/169/the-cias-s…

Don't want to shock anyone, but this is what we should have been doing in Afghanistan and Iraq if we actually wanted to "win" and withdraw leaving behind something resembling a democracy. Instead it was all on DOD and the rest of our government was just kind of absent.
60 Minutes discovered the U.S. is financing more than weapons in Ukraine. The government is buying seeds/fertilizer for farmers, paying the salaries of 57,000 first responders and subsidizing small businesses. cbsn.ws/466Ketc

We should be bombing the Taliban, ISIS, and anyone else who messes with American lives back to the Stone Age.

Nice to know that my government will have a foreign leader speak to the house, condemning fundamental American civil rights, and they'll cheer him on while he flattens cities like Assad and the Russians did.
Netanyahu's remark to Congress that Gaza protesters "should be ashamed of themselves" is met with a standing ovation that goes on for nearly a minute.

Weird how this doesn't make it into the conversation about groomers.

I always found it weird that we had a tighter ROE rolling with the special ops task force in a war zone than most cops within the United States seem to have.

Just to be clear, this is false. I know the guy who shot Pat, and it was a tragic and accidental friendly fire incident. The military initially lied about how it went down, and that is the real issue here.
Just a reminder that Pat Tillman, the man in the ad the NFL just opened the Super Bowl up with, was shot in the head by his own men in an intentional friendly fire incident after he became openly critical of U.S. war efforts (particularly in Iraq).

.@NicolasMaduro: Among the terrorist captured today they were 2 U.S. military officials from Texas. According to a member of the band they are "intermediaries with Trump's head of security". Their names are Luke Denman and Aaron Barry, members of the company Silver Corp.
