If you are painting with a warm palette, the closer you get to grey is the closer you'll get to cold colors. On the flipside, if you're using a cold palette, the opposite is true. This is how I get dynamic colors while still maintaining the same warm or cool tone of the painting - It's shocking that the stereotype of queer people is us screaming when someone misgenders us when the majority of queer ppl i know put up with misgendering for safety reasons and then get ranted at by a drunk uncle on the occasions we're outed by someone else.
