- This wonderful ref sought me out today. She wanted to tell me that in her 12 years of reffing we were her favorite team in regards to coaches behavior and communication with refs, players/refs communication, and the positivity there was between our players on the floor. Awww!
- Sometimes the storybook ending doesn’t happen. Wanted to win our last ever game but just couldn’t get there. Off to a team brunch with my favorite group of people! What a ride. Plenty of tears later when I reflect what a joy the last 6 years have been.
- Man, all the feels. Coached these kids starting in third grade. Now sophomores, they got important minutes during the varsity win tonight. So many losses and struggles along the way but what a great group of kids and parents. Adversity is a wonderful ally if used correctly.
- Concordia St.Paul just won the NSIC and North Central University just won the UMAC. Sooooooo many common threads between the head coaches in philosophy, especially how they treat people and the joy they exhibit everyday. It’s almost like one coach played for the other.
- Kids that have prom and miss AAU games. Go to prom, have fun! Make memories. It’s okay.
- Crossfire Young goes 3-1 in Chicago! Huge second half helped us beat Prolific (Colorado) 73-49 (39-19 2nd half). Moves us to 23-9 on the season with one tourney to go. Toughest schedule we have ever had and we are doing with zero players ranked…TEAM!!!!
- Cool brother moment. Konnor Young’s first varsity points are on a 3 with an assist from his brother. His first varsity assist is to his brother. And…he is back in the gym today.

00:00 - La Crosse, Hamline, Northwestern, North Central University, St. John’s, and Concordia St. Paul all at our game last night. Crossfire getting a reputation for incredibly hard working players with skill that play the right way. We are fun to watch!
- Crazy. Crazy. Crazy. Down 45-27 in the second half and went on a 44-19 run to win it. Drive Pro Select had two kids (#12 and #5) who are right up there with some of the tougher kids we have played this year! Unreal environment and huge plays down the stretch. This team!
- First time ever going 4-0 in a prep hoops tournament. Beat 3ND in a big last 5 minute comeback. They were the most organized and disciplined team we have played this year. Very coached up team with talent from Minot, ND.
- The squad. Lots of new faces, same toughness and team style play. Defend. Share. Body Language.
