- My dad loved covering prep sports and he hired the best people possible. It’s amazing how good he was at that. Thank you TonyRough, rough day. The man who gave me my first pro job, Jim Whymer, has died. He was a true champion for prep sports all over Michigan, particularly the Blue Water Area. He taught me so much, but mostly that every story, no matter how small, matters to someone. RIP, Whymes.
- Today would have been my dad’s 65th birthday. When he was a writer for @phthSports I used to love going to games with him when I was a little kid. Following teams on their championship run was cool. You could feel winning and Community when you watch teams play this time of year!

- Being a great teammate is ACTIVE not passive. It is intentional. Great teammates do the next right thing and aren’t afraid to make people uncomfortable to spark improvement. My pledge is to be a great teammate on and off the court day after day!
- I’m thankful for @CoachFralick and the opportunity to work with her @BGathletics Her love for the team, staff, and community is incredible! Thank you coach, so happy for you and @BeTransformedB1 and the rest of your family!Replying to @BGSU_AthleticsA letter from Coach Fralick to Falcon Nation:

- I’m grateful to work with our excellent coaching staff and student-athletes at BGSU everyday! #AyZiggyBGSU asst. coach Joel Whymer named recruiting coordinator... bgsufalcons.com/news/2019/10/2…
- Thank you to the 49 teams that attended shootouts. Players, it was a privilege watching you compete. Coaches, we don’t take you for granted. Thank you for all you do and the sacrifices you make.
- Our family is appreciative of the area coaches who named the tournament after my dad. @BrendenWelper is going to be a great writer for the area. @PaulCostanzo is right, It was always easier to call my dad. He would always answer. I miss our phone calls everyday."He knew everyone's phone number. He knew every coach's (number) for every sport at every school in the area. It was pretty crazy." - @JWhymer This is so true. We had a giant list of numbers, but it was always easier and quicker to just ask Jim. thetimesherald.com/story/sports/2…
- It was only a matter of time before @TylerJamison32 broke the record! Tyler is an unbelievable kid who just works hard and continues to get better! Proud of him and @phnbasketball@TylerJamison32 passed the school record tonight in our win over Troy Athens with 47. The record was previously set by @JWhymer. @phnbasketball
