- My Dad, Ted, started a barbershop business in Virden, Manitoba in the late 1930s. He met my Mom, Mina, had three kids and we lived here. Grateful for them and always nice to remember your roots. This Father's Day weekend, cheers to all the parents here and gone.

- D Day. Let's remember our brave men and women. On June 6, 1944, they awoke at 3am on boats and almost 15,000 Canadian soldiers bravely landed on five Normandy beaches. Their legacy and bravery is something all Canadians should learn, honour and appreciate.
