After over 3000 applications to US assistant professorships I only got three interviews and no job. But, this guy gets a tenured position at University of Michigan by being completely ignorant of the entire political history of Europe from 1914-1945. Nobody reads anymore.

"Historian" of the Roman Empire with a university position in the US can't read Latin. This is one reason why despite my publication record and ability to read primary source materials in Russian and German I work as a janitor. Nobody cares about primary source research.

Things that it is impossible to get people to believe even though they are empirically true. 1. Ethnic Germans were persecuted in the USSR for being Germans (eg German Operation of 1937-38) long before the Holocaust or even Hitler coming to power. It was not Soviet revenge. 🧵1

It is also completely wrong. It was not the Soviets that confiscated Oskar Schindler's property in Czechoslovakia and exiled him from the country of his birth forever. It was the democratically elected government of Edvard Benes. The democratic Czechs expelled Schindler and stole
