- A true symbol of #Taiwan, female boxer Lin Yu-ting overcame adversity, a disinformation campaign and sexism by securing gold at the Olympics. The road is never an easy one for the people of Taiwan, but time and again, against all odds, they prevail. 台灣加油!
- One photo to demonstrate the level of absurdity involved in the IOC’s rule against displays of statehood for Taiwan. This is not the ROC flag, just a towel. Shameful.
- China's MFA, PLA announced today they no longer recognize the (tacit) median line in the Taiwan Strait. This constitutes dangerous escalation and markedly increases risks of accident.

- I am, once again, astounded by the resilience of the people of #Taiwan. Today’s 7.2 temblor - the strongest in 25 years - and 100+ aftershocks (including two above 6 in intensity) caused 9 deaths and about 900 injured. Given its strength, it could have been a lot worse.
