1/Maybe the most absurd hate speech case to come out of the UK (yet). A woman of South-Asian heritage with a placard calling two senior government ministers of SA heritage (incl PM) for "coconuts" is charged with racism. THEN
A @nytimes opinion columnist writes a defense of JK Rowling. You can agree or disagree with the piece, just as you can agree or disagree with JKR. But should "human rights" organizations really be in the business of demanding that ONLY perspectives they agree with be published?
The New York Times isn’t defending J.K. Rowling — they’re emboldening transphobic views and giving people a free pass to discriminate against and harm trans people.
We need to make it clear to @nytimes this is unacceptable. act.hrc.org/page/122477/ac…
1/ Disastrous day for global free speech: After relentless pressure from the Islamic states of the @OIC_OCI, attacks on embassies and NGOs, the governments of D🇩🇰 and Sweden🇸🇪 announce their intention to legally ban protests involving Quran burnings.
1/ I have no idea what @elonmusk´s take over of @Twitter will mean (neither do you). But what I do know is that the idea that the principle of free speech enhances white supremacy, Apartheid etc is deeply at odds with history.
Being of white, Christian European and black, African Muslim background, I desperately need a flow chart showing the cultures whose music, food and clothing I’m allowed to appropriate. Also: which groups appropriation do I get to veto?
"Hey fucking møgsvin, Tak fordi I redder mit liv, og udsætter Jer selv for fare for at beskytte min ret til at være et kæmpe røvhul, God påske! Kh Slikfrille"
I´m so deeply ashamed of my home country. A complete and utter surrender to some of the most oppressive states in the world that also paves the way for more restrictive religious laws accross the globe to the detriment of the persecuted. Thank God for the First Amendment.
Danish Government set to criminalise improper treatment in public of objects of significant religious importance to religious communities.

Dear #Chinese trolls: you seriously need to step up your #SoMe skills if you want the Danish population to take notice. This meme is almost offensively inoffensive. We demand you respect our nation by coming up with something truly outrageous! Back to work.
1/ I still cannot believe that the Danish government actually issued a statement in which it commits itself to banning the insulting of "other countries, cultures and religions" if this has "significant negative consequences for Denmark". Seriously? via.ritzau.dk/pressemeddelel…
So the Danish SSI (an agency responsible for disease control and research) has been forced to create an English language page to counter a wave of mis- and disinformation by blue check American Twitter accounts. This is something else!
