No better topic to present on than minimum wage to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Industrial Relations section at Princeton, the birthplace of Card & Krueger! #princetonirs100 π―
We are devastated to share that our fourth baby was not made for this world.
Gabriel Joseph Brown was born on Sunday, August 22nd at 11:33pm at about 16 weeks gestation. We buried him today.
Thank you for your prayers for our family during this time.
Although itβs a day of celebration for empirical micro & the credibility revolution, I feel so much heaviness that Alan (my advisor) isnβt here. π May his memory be for a blessing.
Today was my due date with the baby we lost at 16 weeks in August
My 6yo keeps asking when we can have another baby βbecause baby Gabriel diedβ π
St. Gabriel Joseph, pray for us β€οΈ
Introducing Adeline Elizabeth!
Being pregnant during this time had its difficulties, and Iβm happy to have moved on to newborn snuggles!! π
At 8lbs, 8oz and 20.5β, sheβs our smallest baby yet (pandemic stress?!).
Iβm looking for especially well-written economics papers to use as examples for my third-year PhD students. Drop your favorites below! (Self-nominations welcome βΊοΈ)
I was devastated to learn of Alan's passing. He has been my advisor and mentor for 4 years. I can't believe I won't be sitting in the chair on the other side of that desk again or hear him say, "Congratulations, Dr. Brown" in two months. We lost a great man and scholar too soon.
We are saddened to share that Professor Alan Krueger passed away over the weekend. A true scholar and public servant, Alan will be deeply missed by the University community: ow.ly/x4VP50nslsY
Dr: After we use the med, youβll want to pump & dump for 24h
Me: What is it exactly? I can research it
Dr: Lidocaine
Me: Lidocaine?! Oh, thatβs totally safe for nursing!
Dr: But just to be safeβ¦with the babyβ¦
π€ So tired of ppl issuing mandates to women for no reason! π€
My second ever publication came out yesterday, and I am thrilled!
This one is especially personally meaningful to me bc itβs in the JOLE issue in honor of my advisor, Alan Krueger.
