    Last week was my last week with @WSMERCURY and @NSomTimes after nearly five years. A massive thank you to all the players, staff and clubs I’ve worked with during that time. It’s sad it’s come to an end but I’m looking forward to the future and the exciting times ahead.

    There must be something special about Rhondda. The two managers who have led #Wales to a men’s #WorldCup both grew up less than four miles apart. Robert Page lived in Tylorstown while Jimmy Murphy’s childhood home was in Pentre. What a fantastic achievement for the area.

    For the last five years since leaving UWE, I’ve been working hard to try and get a job in sports media. Today that dream became a reality and I’m pleased to say that I’ve been offered a job as a Sports Reporter. Hard work has finally payed off.

    For the last six months, I’ve been working in Weston as a Sports Journalist for the local paper. Last night it was confirmed I had passed my probation. I am now a permanent member of their staff and I couldn’t be happier.

    Today in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣ I walked through the doors of @waitrose with a 5️⃣ year plan of becoming a sports journalist, finishing off my masters & obtaining my @NCTJ_news qualifications. 5️⃣ years later I’ve achieved my goal. It just shows if you put your mind to something it can be done.

    What a night at @CambrianBgc. To get to the final is one thing but to beat 4 Welsh Premier League sides is another. The sacrifice and hardwork behind the scenes have made tonight a memorable one for all involved and one that will go down in the history books of Welsh Football.
