    World, meet my firstborn: Calielle Lila Mesnard, born just before midnight on 5/28/2019, weighing 6lbs 10oz, 20 in. long. She came just 4 hrs after we arrived at the hospital, and my rockstar @HollyMesnard pushed through (yes, a pun) w/ no epidural. Mommy & baby are doing well!

    Today was a tough day for the #AZHouse. We had to expel (first time in 70 yrs) one of our members due to a persistent pattern of harassment. As hard as it was, it was necessary. I appreciated the courage of my colleagues to make this tough decision. It's an honor to serve w/ you.

    Today's initiative filings are among the clearest examples I've ever seen of some people trying to turn AZ into Cali. It'll be a #disaster if these ballot measures pass. AZ's strong economic position will crater as taxes and utility bills skyrocket. #DontCaliforniaMyArizona!!

    Glad the AZ Supreme Court called out the "significant danger of confusion or unfairness" created by the tax increase initiative & nixed it. I look forward to building on what was undeniably an historic & REAL #InvestInEd year at the capitol W/OUT crushing our economic prosperity!

    One week in: I've been peed on, pooped on, puked on, screamed at & don't recall when I last slept more than 2hrs straight, & I've had it easy compared to @HollyMesnard. But I love this little BOP (Bundle of Precious) more & more w/ each passing day! My lil' #Calielle (Callie-ELL)

    I'm proud to be working with Governor @dougducey and colleagues from both sides of the aisle to confront the opioid epidemic. Governor called the Special Session today, and I just introduced the bill in the House along with @Rios_Rebecca.

    The Leg. just passed my bill to create AZ's 1st distracted driving law, as well as a bill to ban holding a phone while driving. Tho the penalty with the latter bill doesn't take effect till 2021, let's start changing our bad driving habits now. I just put this in my car for $10.
