Retired Chief Justice Bart Katurebe enjoying his retirement at his Lodge in Kichwamba- Queen Elizabeth National park. When I applied for an LLM, he was one of my recommenders and it took him one day to write the recommendation. A great man I truly like and deeply respect!

Headline writing is one of the most pleasurable things in an editor’s life.

On the BBC this morning, a Moroccan fan says, “this is like nothing else. It’s a big day for Morocco and for all Arabs. Congratulations to Morocco and to all Arabs.” Yeah. He didn’t say “Congs to Morocco and all Africans.” Clearly, the guys feel more Arab than African.

Dr. Kasenene is easily one of the more influential Kampalans. In offices, meetings, gyms, pork joints, saunas and bars in K’la, people discuss his health tips or confess how they’re trying to follow them as others share how he’s changed their diet habits. Now that’s impact.

To be honest, you aren’t any different , in this regard, from Gen. Museveni who, when Daily Monitor reports what he doesn’t like, calls its editors names. Like M7, you’d probably close New Vision if you’d the power. Defend media freedom. Don’t gag the press through blackmail.
What Museveni's puppet Don Wanyama has reduced the New Vision to! Worse than a tabloid. Happens when you personalise institutions and appoint incompetent stooges & sycophants to head them. Our nation is in deep crisis- they must manufacture lies to divert. #WeAreRemovingADictator

This lady is a good news anchor. She’s authentic (doesn’t try too hard like some of our people who try to change accents and play with facial expressions to appear too serious like BBC or CNN anchors). She’s calm & natural. In a year or 2 she may be the best tv anchor in Uganda.

In 2012 as we filled our choices for uni, I put law as 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices. A teacher was enraged that I was wasting opportunities for gov’t scholarship. I told him to mind his business. Eventually I got both law & on gov’t scholarship. Enrolled today. Long, beautiful journey.

Kenyan lawyers can really choose to impress you with their quality of submissions. Meanwhile the smoothness, calmness, class and eloquence with which Justice Smokin Wanjala speaks as he grills Counsel is a class apart. Boy oh boy! Kenya is truly the big brother of the region.

To err is human. To recognise an error of judgment and atone for it is a virtue. The apology is accepted @IsaacSsemakadde. By the way, that was my 1st time to moderate an X Space & 1st moderation since I took early retirement from media in 2018. Thanks for a robust discussion.
REBELS: OF KATAKWI & ADDIS ABABA — #Atanaaba clarifies During Wednesday’s radical erudition with my indefatigable but friendly rival Adv @IvanOkuda, courtesy of the anodyne @TonyNatif & his #SafeCorridor @PublicSquareEA, I contrasted the beautiful “sleepy little town” of Katakwi
