    I would rather have a tiny fringe group of far-right football hooligans in the country than a far-left cultural revolution that transforms the country into an identity-obsessed, dissent-free “safe space”.

    I do not consider aggressive attempts to increase "racial diversity" in the workplace as examples of social progress. The effects of such measures are to reinforce the grip of race in our consciousness and to emphasise that there is something important about racial difference.

    It is absurd that a lot of what I say is often only socially acceptable because of my skin complexion. I take no joy in that fact whatsoever. In fact, I see it as a major barrier to social progress and a challenge to universalism.
