Last night I was thinking about hats. Sounds weird but specifically about the Kofia which most elders in my family wear; it survived generations of war and peace, but it may not survive the West. Today I did this short study on different hats Muslim cultures wear around the world

In Islam, physical contact between men and women is not allowed unless they are immediate family, married, elderly, prepubescent and so on. A barrier of respect and boundaries should be maintained between the two genders at all times. In the West it’s seen as odd, or restrictive

Today, I met Fatima, one of Gaza's heroes from North Gaza. She's actively supporting displaced children in the refugee camp through psycho-social initiatives and games. We need brave hearts to help others now. The children of #Gaza truly deserve our support and compassion 💙

My ~3 year old niece, Sumayyah, has been battling cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia) for one year now. She went into remission around 6 months ago, but relapsed again recently. She is having a Bone Marrow Transplant today. Please please make dua for her
