    .@parkviewpanda kindergarteners learned about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in honor of #MLKDay. They read all about his various marches but wanted to do more. Students organized their very own Kindness March around school. Way to go, Pandas! #196Pride #kindnesswins @BerniceKing

    School is canceled for Monday, Jan. 28 due to predicted heavy snowfall and dangerously cold temperatures. The following activities are also canceled: School-age Care (SAC), Connections Preschool, ECFE, ECSE, Adult Basic Ed, all daytime and after-school Community Ed activities.

    Our high school stadium lights illuminated empty fields last night as part of #BeTheLightMN. EVHS Athletics Director Matt Percival said it best "...When things do return to normal, whenever that may be, the lights will be on for them.” #InThisTogether #196Pride

    District 196 schools are canceled March 16 until March 30, following an executive state order. School buildings will be open Monday, March 16 from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. for the limited purpose of allowing students/families and staff to collect items. More information coming soon.

    District 196 School Board authorized staff to develop plans to add artificial turf fields at all four high schools over the next two years. The board cited growing concerns about safety and playability issues with sod fields. Read more: district196.org/about/news/art…
