We commend Australia’s @dfat on its decision to further investigate @UNRWA ‘s educational activities in light of our most recent report. It is the right thing to do given the seriousness of UNRWA's errors and the damage done to Palestinian children. theaustralian.com.au/nation/politic…

Children must be encouraged to learn about other cultures and work together to achieve a more #peaceful and #inclusive society. #UAE textbooks teach children the importance of respect, tolerance, and dialogue to attain this equitable future as a national #Emirati and global goal.
This is an example provided from a lesson in a UAE Islamic Education textbook for sixth graders. The image show cartoon children smiling at one another, wearing different cultural attire, as two of the boys shake hands. The text translates from Arabic to English as, "Leave your mark: I am proud to be a peace-loving Muslim, who is tolerant when dealing with others, and I work hard to spread good to all corners of my country, by works of charity and development."
This is an example provided from a lesson in a UAE Moral Education textbook for eleventh graders. The image shows five diverse people, including a woman, who are sitting together at a conference table and speaking together at a business meeting. The text translated from Arabic to English reads, "being aware of cultural differences within a team can help you foresee challenges and resolve them before they become a serious obstacle."
