People are going “How did he get 65K in residuals when he’s barely in the movie?”
Yeah, that’s how big the DVD market was at the time, and how important residuals could be for actors not getting work on a regular basis. Also a big part of why actors went on strike in 2023.

And TV airings. Bob Gunton was, at one point, receiving six-figure residual checks for The Shawshank Redemption, because some cable channels were airing it almost daily.
I'm sorry but this is peak revisionist history. No one ever said this film wouldn't make 500m and now it's defied all odds. Reality is that this was championed as a billion dollar hit and would easily outgross MoS & BvS with ease.
This isn't a win. It's fine, but it's not a win
