The Illinois National Guard IS NOT moving Chicago to enforce a quarantine. The train moving military equipment is not moving National Guard vehicles. We have 60 troops activated for COVID-19. Most are medical. The military moves vehicles all the time. Relax, folks! :)

- Many thanks to @GovPritzker, who surprised our Illinois National Guard troops in Washington, DC, with delicious pizza last night. Governor Pritzker is the Commander-in-Chief of all the Illinois National Guard's state missions.
- The latest rumor is that the Illinois National Guard have set up checkpoints in Chicago or the Chicagoland area. This is absolutely false! Here's the truth: Our 45-Airmen medical team has moved up to the Chicagoland area where they are setting up a mobile COVID-19 testing site.
- Replying to @Kwasmoney @barstoolchicago and 2 othersRyan - The only troops we are sending to the Chicago area is a small contingent of medical personnel - doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, medical technicians. The military ships vehicles all the time. This is in no way related to COVID-19.
- There is false rumor being sent through social media. It is a "notice" using the National Guard logo and a DoD seal. It claims that the NG is being federalized to enforce a nationwide quarantine and that people should stock up on a two-week supply "of everything." NOT TRUE!
- Replying to @BugoutAlley @SPOTNEWSonIG and 2 othersNot true. The Illinois National Guard has only activated 60 troops, mostly medical professionals with the mission of setting up a screening site. There have been a lot of potential missions discussed for additional troops, but enforcing a quarantine has not even come up. Rumors!
- The latest false rumor is that the Illinois National Guard is shutting down highways within or out of the state. This is completely false. The Illinois National Guard is only supporting COVID-19 medical missions or missions to increase the capacity of the medical community.
- The Illinois State Police trained ILNG Soldiers on Saturday, prior to our mission at the State Capitol. Grateful for the opportunity to work with professionals at the Illinois State Police, Secretary of State Police, Sangamon County Sheriff's Office, and the Springfield Police.
- Yes! We are hereeee...ws are doctors, lawyers, police officers, CEOs, CIOs...we are part of the community. #NationalGuard, always there, always ready. We're part of the community and proud to serve our state and nation. But we're really not here to quarantine. Stay safe, people!

- Welcome home to about 155 Soldiers from the Illinois National Guard’s 2-106th Cavalry. They reunited with friends and family in Bloomington after a 10-month deployment to Africa. The Soldiers conducted security ops overseas.
- The Governor has authorized the activation of another 20 National Guard members for COVID-19 response. These are medical and logistics planners, geospacial planners, and public affairs personnel. This brings our total number of activated National Guard members to about 80.
- Polish TDF Soldiers were given a tour of the Illinois State Military Museum on Camp Lincoln today, March 9, 2022. Illinois National Guardsmen continue to train extensively with members of Poland's Armed Forces and stand committed to strengthening Poland's defense capabilities.
