    '13 @HeismanTrophy finalist Jordan Lynch returned to @NIU_Football tonight as the head coach for @CaravanFootball & led the program to its 13th @IHSAState Championship! Jordan's brother Justin scored 5 touchdowns in Mt. Carmel's 37-13 win over Nazareth in #IHSA Class 7A.

    Yesterday was an unprecedented day in the #IHSA's storied history. ⚖️ Everyone is entitled to their opinion... 🤗 You can say we got it right. 😢 You can say we got it wrong. 🤯 But you can't say there isn't incredible passion for high school sports in this state⬇️

    🤼‍♀️🥉 Bremen High School freshman Morgan Turner made history at the 2023 #IHSA Individual Boys Wrestling State Finals, becoming the first female wrestler in @IHSA_IL history to place in the boys’ tourney. A freshman, Morgan placed third at 106 pounds in Class 2A!!!

    Girls basketball: 1st quarter- Dixon 6 Stillman Valley 6. Stillman Valley’s Georgia Ballard who was injured before the season started was 6 points shy of 1,000 career points. This is what high school sports is all about!

    #IHSA is saddened by the passing of singer-songwriter John Prine. He was a graduate of Proviso Township HS (now Proviso East), where he competed in #Gymnastics. Proviso was a gymnastics powerhouse in the era, winning @IHSAState his sophomore year. Pic courtesy of @PMSred
