- Happy #WorldSocialWorkDay! This annual celebration highlights the hard work of social workers as advocates for social justice, human rights, and social development. More than 8,000 social workers are currently licensed to practice in Illinois. Thank you, social workers!
- For the last year, IDFPR has been negotiating with industry and stakeholders to get to an agreed consumer protection, pawnbroker industry modernizing bill. This week, we did it. HB779 passed the Senate 52-0 and is waiting for the House to concur today before they go home.
- Secretary Treto & the entire IDFPR team wish Director @chasserehwinkel best of luck as Comptroller for the City of Chicago. Chasse was appointed as Director of the Division of Banking in 2019, a role in which he managed more state-chartered banks than almost any other state.
