As the NHS falls into crisis again (or fails to emerge from crisis in many areas) so begins those not in leadership positions questioning strategy. Let’s get behind our NHS leaders locally, regionally and nationally. They continue to do a damn fine job in impossible circumstances

For all the criticisms and cynicism’s of @NightingaleLDN, many of which were fair, there is no doubt that it was a triumph of cohesion and collaboration of pan-London multiprofessional NHS staff. It’s the people that make the NHS great and I met some of the best it has to offer.

Last day ever of ICU for a man who many know as “GLI” or “greatest living intensivist”. Incredible clinician who influenced so many he has trained, immeasurably impacted ICU in the UK and saved so many lives through his wisdom and pursuit of excellence. Go well in retirement JC!

Can’t stress importance of and enjoyment from a post 1st COVID holiday. Proper down time with family, enjoy life at its best and allow a bit of quiet reflection about the last 4 months. Feel refreshed and ready for the next challenge whatever that may be..

This is everything that we are striving for & stand for at Nightingale. London has some of the best ICUs in the world. Supporting them to save more lives is our purpose. Providing compassionate care in both life & death is our core value.
When we look back at this time, many things will matter. Above all for me is how we bring the best of @nhs compassion to the bedside, the corridors, the mortuaries. How we transmit compassion to patients & families through our smog of fear and uncertainty is vital now. #COVID19

Prone Care is an art, no doubt, be it the initial technique, pressure areas, neurovascular protection, head turning as well as manual clearance whilst prone. AHP, specifically PT often the gatekeepers to excellence in this space.

Alongside some outstanding candidates, including my fantastic colleague @iceman_ex, I am standing in the ICS Council elections. I hope to bring some fresh ideas and build on recent cross-specialty work to improve equity of access and care for patients. I'd value your support
