Thanks to everyone who joined us live this morning! Of course there was a lot of Roquan Smith talk, but we also touched on the #Bears offensive line and the injuries at wide receiver. You can watch the full replay here:
1 year ago today I dropped dead in the parking lot at Halas Hall. But thanks to Bears security director John Tarpey and his staff, incredible caregivers at Northwestern Hospital and my amazing wife and kids here I am today and going back to work full time next week. THANK YOU
Dogs have been home a few months. Having my first single malt tonight on my birthday, 6 months since near death.
I’ll be back working soon, but writing now because I can’t believe how unbelievably kind you all have been - & I can’t thank you enough! But I’m trying now. Thank you!
We just had to say goodbye to our Golden boy Mason, my inseparable partner & best friend. It feels like this heartache will never end but it will, eventually and Heaven is an even better place tonight with Mason there.
Dogs are so much better than people. I love you buddy 💔
This is absurd! The Bears can give game away on their own.
So the stripes make a B.S. roughing call on Mario Edwards that wasn’t, take a Bears TD off the board on a legal James Daniels block that he missed, and then ignore clear back-to-back roughing against Fields? What crap.
Yes the Bears O-line stinks and the Rams pressure up front is impressive. But I can’t remember 60 minutes where Trubisky played as poorly all night as Foles has tonight. 1st time I’ve felt the double standard is glaring.
I’ve been doing this job 45 years and I’ve met and worked with almost all of the “greats.” Jeff Dickerson was one of the best people I’ve ever been lucky enough to share a media room and press box with. All of my thoughts and prayers are with his family now. R.I.P. buddy 💔
We have one answer, Bears should be sellers at the deadline Tuesday because the rebuild began at 7:28 of the 3rd quarter when nobody felt like tackling Deebo Samuel on 3rd and 19 and they took the rest of the day off. Take whatever you can get for whoever you can get it for.
I made a terrible mistake Tuesday with my Aaron Rodgers comments. It was completely my fault. There is no one else to blame, and I am here to try and apologize.
My column is unlocked and free for all to read here:
As the grandfather of 5 please allow me to answer this question. Yes, I would give my life for any one of them, in a heartbeat.
But . . . If I had another choice I’d prefer not to you fucking moron.
Dick Butkus was one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the NFL, I’d say umber 1. He was also my broadcast partner, growing up my idol and a beloved and treasured friend. The world is far poorer tonight but Heaven is a much better place.
