- 1 year ago today I dropped dead in the parking lot at Halas Hall. But thanks to Bears security director John Tarpey and his staff, incredible caregivers at Northwestern Hospital and my amazing wife and kids here I am today and going back to work full time next week. THANK YOU

- Dick Butkus was one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the NFL, I’d say umber 1. He was also my broadcast partner, growing up my idol and a beloved and treasured friend. The world is far poorer tonight but Heaven is a much better place.
