Congrats to @icecoldexacta . He was only player of 46 to have 27-1 Elegant Gal in DEL8. That win + 2 places did the job in today's Spa & Surf Showdown q'fier. Tony Calabrese (3 wins, 1 place) had Elvis Cole ($25.10, $11.20) in last race to leave the building w/the other $2K entry

Andy Asaro had Sway'sinmydna ($67.50, $22.80 in the 9th at Belmont) among his 3 wins and 4 places, and he took the $12,069 top prize in today's HT Tour event, our $20,000 Gtd. Pick & Pray, which closed with a final purse of $26,687.

Michael Somich correctly predicted that Ellanation ($22.00, $8.40) would score her first turf victory in the Jameela Stakes in the 7th at Pimlico. That, plus 2 other winners and a runner up, earned Somich a $10,000 BCBC entry in today's Low Ratio Pick & Pray at HorsePlayers.

One of today's NHC seat winners, Michael Somich, used same picks to take down the top prize of $10,406 in today's $15,000 Gtd. Pick & Pray, which closed with a final purse of $23,125. Nice day, Michael!

Blanked on the first 7 races, Michael Somich came up with 3 firsts and 1 second over the final 5 to become the second player to qualify for September's The BIG One. Somich will be one of no more than 57 competing for cash & 10 contest seats in "The High-Expectation Tournament."

The first lady of the NHC--Hall of Famer and 2001 Champion Judy Wagner--is headed back to the big dance. Both she (3 wins, 1 place) & winner Robert "Bat" Masterton (5W, 1P) had 21-1 shot Cuate in GP6 & 22-1 victor Poseidons Heir in TAM7 en route to punching their tix to Vegas.
