- Congrats to Cater Mathison on being named the 2021 Dick Crumback/Northeast Indiana Baseball Association High School Player of the Year! Carter will be honored at a TinCaps game in June and the Baseball Program will receive a $1,000 donation from the Crumback family and the FWBF!
- Congrats to Kaleb Kolpien for breaking the single season hits record (now has 54 hits), tying the single season triples record (6) and congrats to Carter Mathison for breaking the single season RBI record with his 50th RBI of the season.
- The Spartan Baseball team sends its love and condolences to the Swarts family. We will miss Mr. Swarts and loved his support for Daniel and the team these past four years. He will be missed!
- Congrats to sophomore Kaleb Kolpien for receiving Honorable Mention recognition for the 2019 4A All-State Baseball Team!All-State teams are now released! Congrats to those receiving the honor. ihsbca.org/2019-ihsbca-alโฆ
- Varsity defeated Carroll 6-5. Isaac Bair was 3-4 with 2 HRs 2 RBI, Roemer 1-3 w/ a RBI, MacDonald & Heiges 1-3 each, and Sean Allison worked 2 innings in relief and got the win on the mound.
- Varsity defeated Huntington North 17-2. WP-Kaleb Kolpien (2-3, 3RBI). Carter Mathison (3-4,Grand Slam HR off of the school,5RBI), Kade Kolpien (3-3,2B,3R,RBI,SB), Ferguson (2-4,2B,3R,RBI,1 IP-3Ks), MacDonald (1-2,2B,2RBI), Palmer (1-2,2R), Hamlin (1-1), Lunsford (1-4)
- HHS defeated Huntington North 11-0 in five innings as Cole Elkins threw five no-hit innings striking out 11! Kaleb Kolpien was 3-3 with 4 RBI, Micah Long 2-2 with an RBI, and Jayden Lepper was 2-2 with an RBI. We will take on Columbia City in the sectional championship on Monday.
- Congratulations to Carter Mathison on committing to continue his academic and baseball career at IU after high school! The Hoosiers got a good one!
- Thank you to the entire team for a season filled with hard work, broken records, and dedication. Thank you for everything you have contributed to the program. A special thank you to a phenomenal group of seniors! The impact youโve had on the program is immeasurable.
- Varsity won 17-0. Kaleb Kolpien tied the single season hits record (52) with a 2B & a 3B. Jayden Lepper and Carter Mathison hit back-to-back HRs, and Mathison hit for the cycle, hitting his 16th HR. Mathison, Griffin Tinkel, and Braeden Hardwick combined to throw a shutout.
- HHS beat Evansville Central 6-1 tonight in Vincennes. Kaleb Kolpien got the win & MacDonald the save. Kade Kolpien: 3-4 w/ a HR & 2 RBI. Mathison: 2-4 w/ an RBI, SB. MacDonald: 1-4, RBI. Kollen: 1-2, 2B, RBI. Lunsford: 1-2, 2B, RBI. Hardwick: 1-2, 2 SB. Ferguson w/ an OF assist.
