I came to the US with limited information at 17, never appreciating what moving countries meant. The US is mindblowing because it’s a few decades in the future from the most privileged lifestyle back home. It’s disappointing because a lot of the future disappoints. 🧵
I’ve always thought that the Linda problem is mostly a semantic trick among the exemplar of people don’t understand probabilities/have inconsistent risk preferences… not surprised that it dupes a language model.

Just a few months ago @dhruvabhat and I were being jealous about all the exciting new opportunities (including AS' new center) at Ashoka that were never an option when we were applying for college. This is extremely saddening.
