- Replying to @rafaelshimunov and @DrRJKavanaghbit.ly/2MzPz7L that is not a large gun. it is a less lethal 40mm device to use so that we don't use lethal force if not necessary. 1 female officer vs. 3 male suspects prompted back officers to arrive on a robbery call.
- Officer down. We had an officer involved shooting at Rosecrans and Aviation. Still working to secure the area we have possible 1 suspect detained. Media will be set up at 135 Aviation.
- Female killed in front of the HPD station. Suspect vehicle located abandoned in the area of 133/Hawthorne. We are actively searching for the suspect. This is an officer involved shooting incident.
- Update: 187suspect is now in custody ; Southbound Hawthorne Blvd will remain closed, while equip is being removed. Thanks to the many surrounding agencies for their help.
- Shooting update. The suspect was arrested. No other suspects involved. Area still closed for an extended period for the investigation. HPD Officer who was shot is awake and alert. @LASDHQ is leading the investigation and will put out more info later.
- She touched so many lives. She made a difference for the better. She helped our youth find their way. She inspired us to be positive, be strong, and resilient. We will miss her dearly.
- Update : Officer stable w non life threatening injuries , pending surgery, @LASDHQ will be conducting investigation .

- Officer involved shooting. HPD officer shot and taken to local hospital. Suspect also hit . Rose cans shut down at Inglewood and Shoup
- A single car accident has resulted in a power outage near 135th Street and Prairie Ave. Utility crews are on scene attempting to restore power. Traffic on Prairie Ave. is shut down. Avoid the area if possible.
- Information on last Friday's arrest:
- nothing to do with race. he was pointed out by the victim as he was walking away.
