New paper on #Autism & PTSD symptoms, shows many experiences that autistic folk find traumatic are not recognised in DSM-5 PTSD criteria. These experiences are just as likely to lead to high PTSD symptoms. Change needed so no autistic person is denied PTSD DX and treatment! 1/2

#Autistic #women&girls (& parents), please share your wisdom: I’m writing about under-recognition of autism in females (hopefully for Mumsnet) - they want some ‘what to look out for’ points. I don’t want to mislead, over-generalise/simplify, or characature. Suggestions? RT

Many of my #autistic friends find video meetings (Zoom, Teams, etc) less tiring than in person meetings. I’d love to hear from #autistic folk; do you prefer video to in person meetings? What is it (apart from travel) that makes them less exhausting? RTs appreciated!

Sorry to be boring; isn’t it time #UniversityChallenge thought about diversity? What message does it send to see two ALL MALE teams, 7/8 white students, representing university ‘talent’? @BBCTwo plse think about effects on students who might be wondering if university is for them
