- My grandfather, Owen McCarthy passed away at grand age of 95 this week. He was one of Ireland’s top referees in his day, refereeing the FAI Cup final in 1968 (which he always said was the highlight of his career), along with numerous international and European Cup matches.
- With fewer cars on the road and less pollution you can now see for miles from the flyover in Watergrasshill. Spectacular views. Nature is healing.

- Hook every single second of this to my veins. Gamble giving zero fucks after getting halved, Rico trying to kill Alan Kelly, Georgie’s tap dancing, Biscuits winding up Fenlon. Absolutely amazing. #GreatestLeagueInTheWorld
- Would appreciate if anyone up north or anyone who may have followers up north could RT - my cousin Aidan has been missing since Friday. He was last seen on Clarendon Street in Derry on Friday at 5pm. He’s 5’8, medium build, last seen in jeans & navy jacket derryjournal.com/news/police-co…
- Emmmmmmm... what? Like just... what?? How is that a free kick? How? That’s a baffling one. How has the referee awarded a free kick? Ramblers robbed of a goal.
00:00 - Great news - my cousin Aidan has been found safe. Thank you to everyone who retweeted during the week. Relief.
- Always hard to say goodbye, but even harder when you’re watching a live stream of mass hundreds of miles away. God bless Granny Rosie, you were the very definition of the word matriarch and an incredible woman. You will be sorely missed, and lovingly remembered every day x
- Must complain to HR about my colleagues, they haven’t given me a minute’s peace all day. #workingfromhome
- So very sad to hear that Paudie Palmer has passed away. The voice of Cork GAA - such an incredible commentator. My condolences to Paudie’s family and friends, and to his colleagues at 96FM and C103. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
- Was among the first public vehicles to go over the new bridge at @dunkettleint today (bang on 12 noon) and I geeked out slightly (majorly). Day made. I’m a man of simple pleasures.
00:00 - Absolutely delighted to go under two hours for the @TheCorkMarathon half. What an amazing experience - running down Patrick’s Street to finish was very very special. Always a proud moment to put on the @RunningWGH singlet too. What a day!
