- .@leehighhsv hosted a ceremony to name the school's fieldhouse in his honor as the "Condredge Holloway Athletic Complex." He was a three-sport athlete at Lee before attending the University of Tennessee where we became the first African-American quarterback to play in the SEC.

- Superintendent Christie Finley and the HCS Board of Education presented a resolution to Lee boys basketball coach Greg Brown for recently marking his 500th win! Coach Brown has led Lee to three state titles in 2010, 2021, and 2022.
- Gov. Kay Ivey visited Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary earlier this week to provide encouragement for students. She stressed the importance of reading and commended progress made by the school.

- The Huntsville City Schools Athletics Department has released the bracket for the 40th annual Huntsville City Classic. The premier high school holiday basketball tournament will feature teams from across the state. The event will be Dec. 27-29 at Huntsville High School.
