🌱 Stop and think for a minute.
Think about the milk for your morning coffee, the cereals in your bread, the fruit in your children’s lunchboxes, the veg, the meats, the grains, the oats, the barley, the hay, the seeds, the nuts, the wheat, the glorious fields that glimmer in
Farmers serve the public. They provide one of the most important services of all - the provision of food. Yesterday, the UK government decided to punish family farmers and put their farms at risk. Shameful.
A wee health update I’d like to share with you…
Four days ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was - as you’d imagine - a bit of a shock. Particularly after being reassured a year ago that a lump I’d discovered was nothing to be concerned about. I pushed for a second
It’s so important to recognise and understand the work that farmers do. It’s gruelling, hard and non-stop. As I write this, a combine is working away in the rain, in the field in front of me. This kind of thing is what they do, on a daily basis, to provide the nation with food.
Farming is not a 9-5 job. This combine will continue to harvest crops well into the evening. Farmers work every single day to provide our food. And for the Labour government to punish their endeavours is absolutely disgraceful.
This is horrific. The inheritance tax on farmers has to be stopped or radically altered - before others follow suit. No amount of money is worth a person’s life 😞

A personal note of thanks..❤️Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been in touch, messaged, posted, commented or shown support over the last few months, after my diagnosis of cancer.
Social media sometimes gets a bad wrap - but it can also be massively
Thank you, @JamesMelville - and for always being there throughout 😘❤️
If I can do anything positive out of this, it’s to urge those with concerns to ALWAYS seek a second opinion if they are not satisfied with the answers given to them, and for doctors/ consultants NOT to fob
Great stuff from @JamesMelville on digital ID. And as for Starmer using this as a way to “stop the boats” or cut illegal working….Please!!! We all noticed the guest list to the state banquet recently…

Keir Starmer’s mandatory digital ID has absolutely no place in British society. It’s authoritarian, Orwellian and illiberal. Britain should never be a “show us your digital ID papers” society. As I discussed with @iancollinsuk | @TalkTV
