- Breaking news out of Hauppauge High School this morning…⚾️⚾️⚾️
00:00 - History. This team did what no Hauppauge baseball team has ever done before. First Suffolk County championship in 24 years. First Long Island championship in school history. Walkoff win in the state semifinals. What a season. What a run. Lifelong memories.
- In one of the all time great Hauppauge Baseball moments, Michael Oliveto hit a walkoff two run home run in the bottom of the 8th to send the Eagles to the county championship game! Crafa, Jenny, and Margolies combined on a 7 hitter. Tucker Brown and Matt Neglia two hits each.
00:00 - Nick Fanti got drafted today in the 31st round by the Philadelphia Phillies. This makes Nick the first player drafted in Hauppauge history.
- Congratulations to Matt Neglia and John Margolies on their commitment to St. Thomas Aquinas College(STAC). The left side of our infield since they were freshmen in 2021, they soon head off to college together. Matt is returning All County. John is 3x All League. Two great people.
- Great news for Hauppauge! Our former 2 time all league center fielder and current NYPD Officer Brett Boller has been released from the hospital and will be rehabbing at a facility close to home. Brett has been on all our minds and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you Officer Boller!
- For the 4th time in 5 years the Eagles are League V Champions! Down 5-2 in the 7th vs. Kings Park, the team rallied to score 4 to take a 6-5 lead. Levenberg with a diving catch to end the game. Esposito with 2 scoreless innings for the win. M. Knopf with a HUGE rbi 2B in the 7th.
- Season over at 14-9-1. League champs for the 4th time in 5 years. A great run that unfortunately came to an end 3 outs away from playing for a county title. Finished 13-6 after a 1-3-1 start. A lot to be proud of and even more to look forward to next year.
- Long Island Champions! For the 1st time in school history, Hauppauge wins LI by taking down Nassau powerhouse Division 4-3. Matt Neglia with a complete game and wiggled out of trouble all night. Defense was great. Offense did just enough. Crafa two hits. Next stop - Binghamton!
- On a cold, rainy day the Eagles hit the Smithtown Lanes. 17 men entered. Two were crowned champions. Coach Schneider and Coach Gutes are the 2019 winners of the Eagle Invitational.
- On March 9th we began our 2020 season. 3 days later we unknowingly had our last practice. But tonight - exactly four months to the day we started - we get to finally play a game. Excited for the opportunity to be out on the field! 8:30 vs. @IslipBaseball
- Nick Fanti pitched his team into the GCL championship game throwing 5.1 shutout innings with 6 k's and 0 BB. Nick finishes the season 8-0!
- Not the ending we wanted but that’s a wrap for our 2023 season. From 4-14 a year ago to 14-9 this year. 8 wins vs. playoff teams. Home playoff game and big time comeback win. 18 of 23 returning next year. All 11 pitchers back. Fired up for March 2024.
