    For the first time in the @ilo's history, an International Labour Standard has been ratified by all member States. The universal ratification of Convention 182 means that all children now have the right to be protected against the worst forms of child labour.

    Delighted Mexico has ratified @ilo Convention 189 on decent work for domestic workers Domestic workers often lack labour protections, including social protection. #COVID19 lockdowns put 3/4 (55m) domestic workers - the majority of them women - at risk of losing their livelihoods

    I am deeply concerned by allegations of harassment and intimidation against, in particular, young female workers in Yangon, Myanmar. I urge military authorities to respect democratic norms and workers' rights to freedom of association and assembly, as well as other human rights.
