Watching the Nurburgring 24 hours, is that a VW New Beetle? If so, is it a former cup car or someone just made a race car out of a regular New Beetle?

It’s funny that the F1 movie was like a 7.5/10 but it’s also probably pretty comfortably the best racing movie ever made just by way of sheer scarcity lol
