I acted immediately upon being informed I was acting governor today and signed the emergency declaration for eastern Oklahoma. Oklahomans are struggling and we must do everything we can to help them. More on the executive order, here: shar.es/afT7An

- Today was a special day at the Edmond Chamber’s annual legislative kickoff, as I was able to bring my son, Mason, along with me. Mason spent 20 days in the hospital after his life-threatening accident & Maressa & I are beyond grateful to say he was able to come home Wednesday.
- I was able to spend the day in #Tulsa to get a tour of storm damaged areas and property, while also getting a look at the city operations center and where PSO is managing all of their coordination efforts.
- The rules committee has unanimously rejected two of the governor’s cabinet secretaries. We have deemed them inappropriate to serve.
- Thank you to everyone who has reached out with kind words and prayers. For anyone who is unaware, my oldest son, Mason, was in a very serious car accident Friday morning while on his way to school after being pulled over for a minor traffic violation. (1/3)
- It is beyond disappointing the House chose to unanimously reject the largest teacher pay raise in state history on Teacher Appreciation Day, of all days. The Senate is committed to fighting for teachers to get them the pay raise they deserve. shar.es/af9x7M
- I will be joining @cityoftulsagov officials at 4 p.m. to give a storm update. It will be streaming on the city’s Facebook page.
- I appreciate @Okla_OAG Drummond’s dedication to the rule of law and his willingness to intervene in lawsuits that have gone on for years, even after being litigated in state court, costing the untold amounts of taxpayer money. (1/2) shar.es/afPA8J
- My statement after the governor announced he filed a lawsuit against me and House Speaker McCall: shar.es/afMqaJ
- The Senate has voted to override a veto by the governor that aims to help survivors of domestic violence. I am proud of my Senate colleagues who chose to stand up for survivors of a horrific crime. My full statement: oksenate.gov/press-releases…
- Passed: The Senate has voted to pass the elimination of the state portion of the grocery tax. It now goes to the governor’s desk.
- This was an unsurprising, but welcome ruling by the Oklahoma Supreme Court. We knew from the onset this litigation was unproductive and a waste of taxpayer money. I applaud the unanimous decision by the court. My full statement on today’s ruling: shar.es/agqrJR
- Replying to @GregTreat_OKWe also appreciate all of the first responders and medical staff who worked quickly and efficiently to help save Mason’s life. While all continued thoughts & prayers are welcome, at this time Maressa and I would appreciate privacy as we work through this difficult time. (3/3)
