- 1/2: I planted one of 71 cherry trees in Chinatown's Sien Lok Park. Every politician loves holding a shovel. It shows progress, something is being built, a new chapter for a community or business. These trees are building Chinatown's beauty even further.

- 1/2: In speaking to Bill C-20, which creates Build Canada Homes, I pointed out both the escalating cost of govt housing programs with little to show for it, and the escalating cost to consumers not only for their homes but for their share of the cost of servicing Canada's debt.

- 1/2: C‑20 does not address the structural cost drivers in the housing system. Instead, it proposes govt expand its footprint. Build Canada Homes would have sweeping powers in financing, land acquisition & development, and come with a price tag of another $13 billion over 5 years.
