The Great Smoky Mountains will close single-lane sections of Little River Road between the Townsend Wye and Metcalf Bottoms from 2-2:30 pm today. Please drive cautiously.
The section of Little River Road between the Townsend Wye and Elkmont is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9, so that the national park can conduct essential roadway maintenance.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park will begin repairs on damaged guardrails on the southbound section of the Gatlinburg Spur beginning Thursday, June 4. If you are travelling from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg, plan for single-lane closures near the Norton Creek intersection.

The Townsend Wye parking lot, near the intersection of Laurel Creek and Little River Road, will be closed today as our crews work to repair sidewalks in the parking area.
This work will improve visitor safety and reduce future maintenance needs.
Little River Road is closed from Metcalf Bottoms to the Townsend Wye until further notice due to a rockslide.
