Someone watched that little ones every move for the 1st months of their life, worried about their milk intake, their sleep & development. Dressed them, brushed their hair. Kissed their cheeks 1000s of times, that little ones whose body was held up against the flames with no head

*Five hundred* people drowned trying to reach Europe last week and it was covered but my god contrasting it to the coverage of this Titanic submarine is just appalling to see, so much more focus, experts on, analysis and interest from the public. Certain lives are so cheap to us

Barista in Stansted airport cheerily (!) making coffee at 5am, chatted to customers in Spanish and then German. When he called my order he sussed my accent handed me my coffee and said “go raibh míle mhaith agat” Priti Patel considers this unskilled work.

Someone just told me as I minding my own business waiting for a coffee, that I’m making a rod for my own back by holding the baby’s hand when she’s going off to sleep.!? Some people will just wear their trauma like a badge. It’s the privilege of my life to hold her hand

The babies rotting on extinguished life support should have ended it all. There should have been a direct swift intervention. There wasn’t and no amount of talk after that is worth a damn

It’s my birthday tomorrow - I have such a vivid memory of being about 5 saying I hated my birthday being at Christmas because everyone was busy and cross, and my uncle said to me, “your birthday is the 1st of the longer days, you’re our extra bit of sun”

She asked him not to shout homophobic slurs @ people - he beat her into unconsciousness, denied it & said she started it until shown the video. She lost her job because of the damage he inflicted- he avoided jail to save his “You’ll ruin that young man’s life” still runs here

Hi sorry for the cranky Twitter this last four days. I’ve been trying to deliver baby Bríd. Eventually managed to. All is good, nothing worth doing was ever easy. 9lbs2 - born half reared

The hibernophobia exported by the British empire that makes this seemingly endless global smirking about Irish names permissible by otherwise sound people, seems to have a half life of about a million years. Tedious, boring and not acceptable about any other language/country
Why is everyone okay with the way “Siobhan” is pronounced?

During baby’s hospitalisation with RSV. Nurse came on for her 2nd night shift, came right to us before handover. Peeked round the curtain and put her hand on her heart when she saw Bríd was just on nasal o2 “oh you’re better sweetheart, I was so worried about you all day at home”
