Bravery 6 May 17, I was privileged to fly on the last chopper that brought back the released Chibok girls. Seeing the girls - young, naive BUT broken, was a reminder of how cruel man is. When we touched down, I stayed with them briefly in the C-130 before the Abuja lap.

You had the option of pushing the Alpha jet to base after getting hit by enemy anti aircraft guns. But you refused to take the option. Instead, you nosed down, air rammed into the enemy, like the Kamikaze, to kill 63 of them & deployed your chutes in hostile territory.

A bandit was having his wedding nikkah at a mosque in Fakai, Zamfara this afternoon. In attendance was bandit kingpin Turji & not less than 55 persons. Based on intel, NAF hit a bull’s eye on site. 37 persons counted dead so far. No word on Turji yet.

Kogi State is a comedy show. I have never laughed as hard as this in 2020. This commissioner has quietly told the people not to expect any repairs by government.

Ajaokuta, when it was functioning, had about 7k direct jobs & it was close to heaven. Staff were always on foreign courses. Roads tarred. Good schools. Well-planned estates. Evenings, we played badminton with the Russians There’s nothing Nigerian politicians cannot destroy.
40,000 new jobs in any Nigerian town or city changes that city or town forever. The socioeconomic benefits and multiplier effects of a factory like this immeasurable. The foundational blocks to winning investments like this? 24/7 electricity supply & skilled labour.

I make bold to say in all the 10 years of bloodshed & sacrifices in the northeast, no living soldier has ever been this honored. Gentlemen, pick your endeavours with wisdom. Nigeria does not appreciate your sacrifices.

Instead of always inviting the service chiefs, I ll give the government a very good advice to identify the gaps in the military fighting efficiency. Visit frontline troops. Hold close door meeting with only soldiers & junior officers. You will hear things & see the real picture.

Look at policemen celebrating the victory of a politician, demonstrating partisanship. Look at rounds wasted, showing unaccountability. The Nigerian Police is irredeemable & in some cases, a major enabler of anarchy.

As we celebrate this year's Armed Forces Remembrance Day, I pray for the safety of all military personnel as they carry on gallantly, doing this job - the most difficult job in the world. God bless you.

Let me summarise it: if you went to university before enlisting into the service, you will face a penalty. The penalty is that for a rank you attain, you will spend 2 years longer compared to your peers. Insanity. I have never seen any cruel thing like this.

Clean work by the Army to rescue those passengers without a hitch. These are the kind of things we blow with vuvuzela if it was done by a foriegn military. Incredible work and they neutralised some of the kidnappers in the proess.

The Chief of Naval Staff interview on Channels TV’s News Night aired on Monday is quite revealing. Please watch it. When ships loaded with illegal oil are nabbed, from ‘thin air’, documents backing the barrels are forwarded. This is not bunkering. This is organised theft.

Big Chief, despite I have shared a lot of the heroics of what we did in the north east, there are stories I cannot still put out. The heroism would sound too unbelievable to the human ears. For the relative peace the north east enjoys today, the bloodshed cannot be quantified.

It was around this time last year that armed robbers went to an estate in Kubwa, Abuja and were unfortunate to enter the house of an Army Major who had a weapon. Three corpses were cleared in the morning. I wish we have an organised weapon licensing system for citizens.
