- The lab recently passed its 25th b-day! They surprised me today w/ a party including alumni videos, lab swag, and more. So fortunate to have wonderful current and former trainees and staff. Deeply grateful to them all!
- The Dept of Molecular and Cellular Biology @bcmhouston marks its 50th anniversary today! 🎉 🍾 It was the first Cell Biology dept in the country!
- We are all walking mosaics of genetically distinct cells. Every cell acquires around one mutation each division after fertilization, resulting in a vast amount of genetic diversity across all the cells in our bodies by the time we are born.
- Getting ready for my #ISSCR2020 talk around midnight my time. Happy to see an international live audience! Honored by the Tobias award from @ISSCR!
- Excited to share our work investigating the role of the chromatin remodeler SRCAP in clonal hematopoiesis (CH) via DNA repair and epigenetic regulation - now out in @CellStemCell! Project led by @ChunWeiChen7. Great collaboration with @adamssperling. cell.com/cell-stem-cell…
- Excited to share our latest study on #DNMT3A identifying a new chromatin reader domain in the N-terminus that is essential for post-natal life. rdcu.be/cNbF5
- Truly honored by this award! I feel so fortunate to have had so many fantastic trainees over the past ~25 years! Thank you all! I’m deeply grateful to the hematology community for recognizing and supporting our work. Thanks also to the funders for believing in us!Very excited to see the boss @Goodell_Lab present her Don Metcalf award lecture at #ISEH2023 introduced serendipitously by one of her first trainees and current @ISEHSociety Vice President Shannon!
- 📢 Happy to announce our new review on stem cell #aging! We integrate traditional concepts/hallmarks of aging with emerging data on somatic evolution and stem cell competition. @NatureAging nature.com/articles/s4358…
- Huge honor to be recognized w/ this award! ISEH helped me grow as a scientist and mentor- v grateful for the support of this community over the years. THANK YOU ALL!Congratulations to our ISEH 2023 Society Scientific Award Winners!
