Well, someone tried scamming my grandfather today using AI and samples of my voice. They claimed that I had been in a bad car accident and was arrested for "texting and driving." My grandfather is not the most tech-savvy person, so they almost fooled him. 1/3

Mark my words, this will have negative effects on the growth of young artists. Why would these kids even try to improve their skills when their parents and teachers will just feed their art into an AI so that it can "complete" their work for them anyway?

I have discovered that young children are fascinated by the process of turning their drawings into photorealistic AI art. They'll then occupy themselves voluntarily drawing more. I bet this will soon be used in art classes to introduce them to generative AI.

Humans have already invented all of these styles. Just goes to show you that ML/AI models can't do anything that humans haven't already done. They are nothing but theft machines that will kill any real innovation and creativity in the arts if they take over the industry.

Say what you will about human artists, but our artwork and styles aren't limited by incremental AI model updates that we have no control over. Also, if Midjourney updated and it's messing up your outputs, it sounds like you promters just need to "Adapt or Die."

Unfortunately, too many folks are not as media literate or as tech savvy as they think and they can be fooled by this tech. Hell, there's folks who are itching to justify their belief in something, even if it's not true or is hateful, and they'll say stuff like this is real. 2/2

I recall being told by AI-bros for over a year now that artists were just jealous that "AI prompt engineering" would be a highly valued job worth a lot of money. I also recall telling them that they were delusional in thinking the job would be worth that much. 1/3
