Now it's official - I have accepted a full professorship for Systems Genetics @VetmeduniVienna...and today is my first day. I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the excellent RNA and structural biology community in Austria. Exciting times ahead!

We have determined the high resolution cryo-EM structure of endogenous plant cytochrome b6f (cytb6f) at an unprecedent resolution of 2.1 Å. We also show plastocyanin bound to one of the two monomers of cytb6f. Just out in @ScienceAdvances. A short 🧵

I am extremely happy and proud to receive the FNP Prize 2024 in Life and Earth Sciences – also known as the "Polish Nobel Prize". This huge honor from @FNP_org_pl would obviously have never happened without the tremendous work of all current and former lab members.

We determined high-resolution single particle cryo-EM structures of the human pseudouridine synthase 3 (PUS3) in presence and absence of different tRNA substrates. PUS3 catalyzes pseudouridylation of position 38/39 in tRNAs.
