- This is such a common mythology spewed by transphobes. Trans people are not an ideological collective trying to erase the idea of biological sex. Trans people are 0.6% of the population whose gender identity doesn’t match to their assigned sex, and they are just trying to live.If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.
- It's astonishing how much the UK has changed. Only 5 years ago I was doing a drag show for kids in Edinburgh and taking the tube to drag shows. Today, the show would be picketed, and there's no way I'd ever take public transport in drag, I've been attacked too many times now.
- Wtf is wrong with the UK? This whole Stormzy story proves how the British media believes it is more of a crime to be called racist than to actually be systemically racist itself. Britain was built on the back of colonialism- this included slavery and genocide. Britain is racist.
- This is extraordinary. After suffering such a horrific homophobic & misogynistic attack, the survivor of this hate crime has used her platform to alert us to why violence against white people sparks more outrage than to people of colour. INTERSECTIONALITY.
- It’s very important for people in the West to consider that India’s decriminalisation of gay sex yesterday is a relinquishing of homophobic colonial laws that Britain brought over - it’s not of a country “catching up with the West,” but one undoing its conservative ideologies.
- I’m scared. I’m scared about the racists who will feel emboldened. I’m scared about the homophobes who will feel legitimised. I’m scared about the xenophobes who will feel empowered. I’m scared for the poor who will be hurt hardest. Solidarity comrades. Love you all. #UKElection
- Crying my eyes out right now remembering watching Queer as Folk at 1% volume with my parents asleep upstairs, feeling both enthralled and terrified at the same time. To every worried teenager watching #ItsASin in the same way - I love you, and I know how you’re feeling right now!
- I’m always amazed by the way @AyoCaesar communicates Leftist policies and ideas in such an accessible, engaging and personal way. We’re so lucky to have a commentator like Ash on the Left! Am so grateful for everything she does.Think you can become a billionaire? Think again.

- Helen Joyce is literally on camera saying that “we should actively be reducing the number of people who transition because every trans person poses a problem to a sane world.” Whether or not you say this in a “mild-mannered” way, it’s still a profoundly chilling thought.
- Sarah. Thanks for saying I look like a mermaid. What a compliment! Though I'm not a man. What you saw was a thought experiment where I ask if quantum physics can expand the way we all think about rigid constructs -ones that clearly limit your capacity for empathy (& good writing)
- Transgender people make up 0.6% of the population. A tiny fraction of the population - and one of the most vulnerable minority groups there is. And yet, an organised and financed lobby of cis women have made it their mission to make their lives hell. It's malicious and deranged.
- JK Rowling's blog was a hard read. And that's because it was filled with unsubstantiated claims that have no empirical evidence. As well as unashamed lies about the realities of the GRA, she disguises her deep lack of empathy for trans people with her 'I do have 1 trans friend!'
