The Trump Administration's new order is reckless and cruel. When my colleagues learned that our students might be forced to leave the country in the midst of a COVID19 spike, they all volunteered to teach one-on-one classes. One said he'd teach outside in the snow if he had to.

It was amazing to attend Guido's last torts class and celebrate sixty extraordinary years of teaching. A Zoom class has its limits, but it does allow for the surprise appearance of more than 150 faculty, staff, and friends. We love you, Guido.

Yesterday was a remarkable day. It was not about Yale Law School. It was about the future of legal education and our profession. It’s a moment to step back and think hard about what we are doing.

Today is a glorious day! Roughly 15 percent of our students come from below or just above the poverty line. Thanks to our wonderful alumni, all of them will receive full-tuition scholarships next year! I'm so proud that Yale has led the way.
We are thrilled to expand our groundbreaking Hurst Horizon Scholarship, ensuring that more students with significant financial need will be able to attend law school tuition free. Read more about the expansion: law.yale.edu/yls-today/news…

I'm grateful for the vote of confidence and happy to continue to serve the school I love.
In recognition of Dean Heather K. Gerken’s record of accomplishments and vision for the future, @yale President Peter Salovey announced her reappointment for a second term in a message to the community today. law.yale.edu/yls-today/news…

Today I welcomed the Class of 2021 to @YaleLawSch. I'm delighted that the three most diverse classes in our history are here. Students of color make up 46% of the 1L class. 27% are the first in the family to attend professional school. One in ten are the first to attend college.

My Vox piece today explains that federalism isn't just for conservatives. It doesn't have a political valence. bit.ly/2gssrD5

Today is a wonderful moment here @YaleLawSch. We hope the Hurst Horizon Scholarship Program inspires a shift in how financial aid is allocated at law schools across the country. I look forward to expanding this important program in the years ahead.

Judge Reinhardt's legacy as a jurist is well known. I suspect that people often miss another of his legacies -- three generations of clerks, whom he treated as his family writ large. I tried to capture the fierce love we have for him here. bit.ly/2uxcRST

TFW you realize that Cory Booker's chief of staff and his campaign manager were once your students, and you realize that (1) you are old, and (2) you have the best job ever.
