Horrified by the news of Jawad Bawaqneh’s death in #Jenin on Thursday, a teacher and father of six, apparently killed while providing first-aid. We call for a thorough investigation of the circumstances. Too many have already lost their lives this year!

We are appalled by the violent attacks on Palestinians 🇵🇸 in #Hebron over the last days. The situation in and around Hebron remains tense. Yesterday, we visited @Issaamro together with like-minded + @BtSIsrael in support of those who work for peaceful conflict resolution.

Yesterday was @Issaamro’s last trial in 🇮🇱 military court in a case that had been ongoing for 7 years. It was reassuring to meet him in good spirits and with steadfast support from other human rights defenders. @CanadaRepPA

Sad and appalled by this senseless death of young paramedic: Several killings of Palestinians over the past days and weeks without clarity on the circumstances raise more than just questions. There must be investigations and accountability.

The Fed. Gov. reiterates firmly its position on the Israeli settlement policy in the occupied territories. It views settlement building activity as a violation of int. law, which hampers prospects of a peace process and makes a negotiated two state solution much more difficult.

Together with 🇪🇺 and like-minded missions we visited Khashm al Karem school in the #SouthHebronHills today. Funded by the West Bank Protection Consortium, the school is under the immediate risk of demolition. #Education is a Human Right that has to be respected also in #AreaC.

Together w/ 20+ EU MS and like-minded, we visited #Turmusaya. Shocked by the accounts of 🇵🇸 inhabitants. Our heart goes out to the family of Omar Qateen who lost his life during recent attack by settlers. Perpetrators must be held accountable + protection of civilians ensured.

Das leider nicht ganz so schöne Ende einer schönen Altstadt-Tour durch das morgendliche #Jerusalem. Es ist schmerzhaft zu erleben, wie das Klima in dieser wundervollen Stadt sich unter der neuen Regierung immer mehr zum Unguten verändert. Jerusalem ist doch groß genug für alle!
