Heartbreaking news about #SarahEverard tonight. My heart goes out to her loved ones facing unthinkable loss. Every woman should be safe to walk home yet this has affected so many because for far too many women feeling scared is normal. Sending love to all feeling shaken tonight

Ten years today since my dad died and I still miss him every day.  He had a gift of making everything feel possible, his optimism and faith in people meant he could bring light and meaning to the darkest situations.  I hope everyone who loved him felt some of that light today

Today I went into parliament to get set up so I can start the work of representing the residents of Queen’s Park and Maida Vale. The work starts now of making a difference for local residents and supporting the Labour government to make national change.

Tonight has shown why we should be very worried about new anti-protest laws. We can’t trust Priti Patel & this government to protect right to protest. Tonight women weren’t allowed to mourn, tomorrow we may find we aren’t able to protest at all politics.co.uk/comment/2021/0…

I am so grateful to the residents of Queen’s Park and Maida Vale who have put their faith in me. I will be there for every resident of this wonderful, diverse community - those who supported me & those who didn’t.    Today is the start of building a better future for our

Putting a list out to media including half of London boroughs with NO conversation with councils or education leaders is deeply irresponsible. How to explain to parents that their children can go to school in Camden but not if study in Westminster/ Barnet. Govt must work with us

Heartbreaking watching the Camden Palace / Koko up in flames this evening, a building that holds so many memories and means so much to us in Camden. Incredible how quickly @LondonFire got under control, we owe them so much for their swift and courageous response

Hearing @Keir_Starmer apologise for the fear & pain the poison of anti-Semitism has caused moved me to tears. I wish my gran had lived to see it. We must never allow @JewishLabour members to feel unsafe & we must once again be an unequivocal anti-racist force in this country

Huge thank you to our local MP @Keir_Starmer for joining us @AgeUKCamden today to help us get emergency food parcels ready to make sure no one goes hungry in our community. At times like this we all need to pull together and we appreciate your support #wemakecamden

Disgusted at the vile antisemitic graffiti in Camden. Teams are out removing it now & police are investigating this hate crime. We wholeheartedly reject this hate in Camden & our community will together stand for love, hope & light on the last night of Chanukah

Today was meant to be our wedding day, but Covid pushed that back, so a double vaccination perfect way to celebrate! Feeling hopeful & grateful to all the amazing @NHSEnglandLDN staff & volunteers who were very kind about my needle phobia!! #vaccinated

Today we said goodbye to my beautiful Gran who died peacefully of cancer at 93. She had the biggest spirit & world a smaller place without her. Huge thanks to NHS staff who showed her such kindness despite being so stretched. Sending love to all worried about loved ones tonight

Thank you to our local MP @Keir_Starmer for coming to speak to residents, caretaking staff, police & council officers who responded to last night’s murder. We heard sadness & fear at violence in our community but also the determination to support each other & prevent more loss

You know councils like Camden have had over half our funding cut by the government and are struggling to fund all the services our community desperately needs. You’re right properly funding councils does mean support for the most vulnerable, maybe you can start delivering it 🤷🏼‍♀️
You know Government is directly funding Councils to do this right? That's the whole point. Not extending FSM because we've already given billions to Councils to directly support the most vulnerable families... Councils who choose to give out FSM are doing so with Gov funding!!
