- Dearest Mother, The University of Tennessee came and volunteered to get destroyed smacked on the day of the death of former Commander Hall. It was a great performance by our men and I took much joy in showing them why our army is, and always will be better. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother, Sgt Brooks led us on our biggest victory of the campaign. The Jayhawks of Kansas stood no chance. From start to finish we dominated. I must reiterate that we are the fiercest army in the country when healthy. Oscar
- Dearest Mother, We did it. We beat them. We are back. Love, The Pope
- Dearest Mother, As we marched to the countryside of Alabama, we all forgot our muskets except for PVT Collins. But to our surprise, the enemy left all artillery at their fort as well. We fought using our hands and rocks and came out victorious. We can win with anything. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother, Our army who was short handed fought off the attack of the elephants and proved once again that we are the best in the nation. Commander Grady was accurate with his musket from long range while I dominated the front lines. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother, We ventured into the most hostile environment during my tenure as General of the Wildcat Brigade and managed to win the battle. Our men fought hard especially private Toppin. We are marching on to another tough battle this Saturday. Wish us luck. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother, Today is a sad day. Our brothers on the football brigade say goodbye to their offensive strategist as he moves on to the best army of the professional ranks. I enjoyed watching him lead our fellow men and hope we find an adequate replacement soon. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother, I miss basketball season. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother, We are halfway through the battle against the second strongest army of all time, at their own fort. We are making them wish they had never enlisted. I look forward to writing a follow up letter after the fighting has seized. Or should I say, slaughtering. Oscar
- Dearest Mother, The Tigers from the state of Louisiana are marching on Fort Rupp. We must defeat them with a weakened army, and then follow them home to conquer the rest of the nation in the Battle of New Orleans where we will be crowned champions of the world. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother We fought another hard battle against South Carolina. I was not as fierce as throughout the first half of the battle but I returned to normal and dominated the battle field. I am the best fighter in the country, and we are the best army. We will conquer all Oscar
- Dearest Mother, Another battle we were forced to fight short handed, but we came out victorious. I am honored to lead our army. -Oscar
- Dearest Mother, I am writing you to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us here at Fort Rupp. I am saddened I won’t be there to celebrate with you but it will be worth it when we win our war come March. Happy Holidays to all back home. -Oscar
