    Meet Carol (she’s agreed!), one of our fabulous endoscopy nurses @uclh. Joined NHS in 1970s. Going to be home late, recovering a patient with additional needs post complex endoscopy. Fantastic care! 👍👍 Oh, did I mention it’s also her 52nd wedding anniversary TODAY?!! 🎉🎉🙏

    Delighted to perform ⁦ERCP + Spyglass ⁦@EndoscopyOA⁩ ⁦@uclh⁩ . Nodule at stricture concerning. In fact due to large stone pushing distal cystic duct into CBD. All resolved after stone clearance. Seeing is believing! ⁦@bostonsci⁩ ⁦@PENTAXMedicalUK⁩

    👀 @waitrose removing ‘best before’ labels. Endoscopy companies (?regulators) need to drop absurd 2 year expiry on accessories/stents (all 100% plastic/metal) that r binned if not used - terrible waste! 🤷‍♂️Ideas? @bostonsci @cook @Medtronic @GreenEndoscopy @drkeithsiau @DrBuHayee

    Good to hear Sir Mike Richards on Radio 4 Today programme highlighting that to reduce cancer deaths required earlier diagnosis, and early diagnosis can only come from having more endoscopists and more facilities. @BritSocGastro @bowelcanceruk

    Miserable news ++, so here’s a nice story. 2 of our (excellent!) new junior docs @uclh were chatting on ward yesterday + one mentioned it was their birthday. “Mine too!” the other exclaimed! One of our patients overheard + bought them a birthday cake! So appreciated! 🎉👏👍
